BÄNDL

We are a young, local Swiss indie-rock band from «Züri Oberland». Despite our differing music tastes, we still got together and founded BändL in 2022. Some of our songs are very emotional, others are just fun to play. Momentarily, we perform our original tracks along with a few covers, such as songs from «Green Day» or «Rage Against The Machine». On this website, you will find news about our latest releases, concerts, or at some point even merch. To this day our differences bring us together to create our music in a unique way. We hope you enjoy our songs; if you do, please share them with your friends. We'd be super exited to meet you at one of our concerts!

Where does the Name come from?

Once upon a time, in the dark of night, with the moon shining bright over «Zürich», a mysterious woman gave us glow in the dark shoelaces. Of course, we accepted them. I mean when do you ever get free GLOW IN THE DARK shoelaces, right? So, our beloved guitarist joked: «We could call ourselves: BändL». Because the swiss meaning of shoelaces is «Schuehbändel». And as we all know, the English word for a music group is «Band». We cut away the «Schueh», flipped a few letters around, and added a big «L» at the end. And voila, «BändL» was born! :)
